We built this site because the first weeks of postpartum hair loss can feel terrifying — and they don՚t have to.
Our founder experienced significant postpartum hair shedding after her first pregnancy and found herself completely unprepared for it. Her midwife hadn՚t mentioned it. Her GP was reassuring but vague. The internet offered alarming forum posts and contradictory supplement recommendations. She felt, as many new mothers do, that she was dealing with something serious that no one around her was taking seriously.
She՚s since had two more children, supported hundreds of new mothers through the same experience, and built this site with a team of researchers, maternal health writers, and trichologists who share her conviction: postpartum hair loss is a normal, manageable, temporary condition — and new mothers deserve clear, compassionate information about it.
We write for the new mother at 3am who has just found another alarming handful of hair and doesn՚t know what normal looks like. We write with warmth, accuracy, and the steady reassurance of people who understand both the science and the emotional weight of this experience.
We are careful to distinguish between what is typical and what warrants a conversation with a healthcare provider. We are honest about timelines and realistic about what can and can՚t be done to speed recovery. We are, above all, in your corner — during one of the most demanding seasons of your life.
You are not losing your hair permanently. You are in a season. We՚ll help you through it.
